Introduction to HALT/HASS

Learn how to expose potential design weaknesses and manufacturing defects of your products. HALT (Highly Accelerated Life Testing) and HASS (Highly Accelerated Stress Screening) are two methods for improving the reliability and quality of products. Highly Accelerated Life Test combines extreme temperature cycling and repetitive-shock/vibration for the ultimate in accelerated reliability testing.

HALT and HASS subject a product to a series of overstressed, effectively forcing product weak links to emerge by accelerating fatigue.
