Keynote Address & Live Q&A: Need to Expand? Let's Make a Plan!
Tuesday, May 3, 9 - 9:50 a.m. Central Time
Need to expand? Where do you start? You apply lean principals to your production, so why not do the same with planning your next big move? It all starts with defining what project success looks like, gathering and analyzing data, collaboratively crafting and challenging options, and documenting the results.  Join this discussion to hear about the critical steps to planning a facility expansion, including: minimizing disruption to operations; optimizing people, product, and process flows; options for fast-track product delivery/mitigating supply chain challenges; producing more with less; reliability, redundancy, and diversity; future-proofing and the importance of embedding flexibility in facility design; interpreting data - understanding equipment requirements and what they mean for the building infrastructure; managing hazardous production materials in H, I, and B occupanies; sustainability/saving on energy costs without sacrificing cleanliness and performance; industry 4.0/Leveraging technology in design, construction, and operations; how to effectively address ICD 705 as a program requirement; and employee retention - what message is your facility telling current and prospective employees?
