IEST is the only organization that exclusively serves professionals in the fields of contamination control, environmental test and reliability, and nanotechnology facilities. We are dedicated to advancing the knowledge of the environmental sciences and technology community by sharing our recognized global expertise in cleanrooms and controlled environments.

Choose the membership category that's right for you: Whether you are a professional with years of experience or new to the industry - IEST offers a number of memberships to fit your specific needs:

Individual Membership 
Available to all professionals actively engaged in a field related to IEST. Members gain access to a network of internationally recognized experts, standards development, and savings on publications, conferences, and training programs - Annual Dues: $210

Young Professional Member  
Available to any graduate of a college or institution (within the last two years) or currently a master's degree student with less than two years of industry experience. Benefits are the same as Individual Membership. Applicants must provide a copy of a diploma, degree, or certificate. Master's degree students must provide a copy of a student ID and course schedule - Annual Dues: $90

Subscriber or Student Subscription (non-member)
Available to any professional or student interested in access to IEST but not yet ready to become a member.  With this subscription, you will be able to access free-on-demand webinars, observe IEST Working Groups, publish in the Journal of the IEST, access Tech Talk articles, attend RP Spolights, access the IEST Career Center to search for jobs, utilize the education trascript tool, and receive weekly e-newsletters subscriptions to ThisWeek@IEST and NewsBriefs@IEST.  Must create an IEST account to access news and training - Annual Dues: $0  - Learn More

MEMBERSHIP TERMS
An IEST membership belongs to the joining member. Only the individual member can use the benefits of membership. These benefits cannot be transferred or used by other individuals, even within the member’s organization. Membership dues are non-refundable and transferable. Membership transfers require the member’s permission.   

The IEST membership period runs on a fixed billing cycle: July 1 - June 30 for all members. Incoming members pay the full annual dues rate at the time of application. Upon renewal of membership, IEST will prorate member dues for the unused months. The prorated amount will apply only if the membership is renewed. No refunds will be given. The membership renewal period runs March - June.

About IEST
IEST is a non-profit technical society and ANSI-accredited standards-developing organization; Secretariat of ISO/TC 209 Cleanrooms and associated controlled environments; Administrator of the ANSI-accredited US TAG to ISO/TC 209; and a founding member of the ANSI-accredited US TAG to ISO/TC 229 Nanotechnologies.

The support and participation of IEST members and partnering organizations allows us to:

  • Drive IEST’s work on cornerstone standards; we provide expert support for the evolving MIL-STD-810, oversee the ISO 14644 Standards Series as the Secretariat to ISO/TC 209, and lead the conversation on nanotechnology facilities best practices.
  • Back the volunteer experts who write, and keep current, IEST Recommended Practices.
  • Train and advance the environmental sciences and technology community through IEST education, peer-reviewed research, conferences, and support services.
