About IEST & Our Mission
- IEST is a leading ANSI-accredited standards development organization supporting contamination control, environmental testing, product reliability, and nanotechnology facilities.
- As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we provide a neutral platform where experts from industry, government, and academia collaborate to develop critical Recommended Practices and Standards, and facilitate expert Working Groups behind foundational documents such as MIL-STD-810, and IEST-STD-1246.
- Additionally, IEST is the Secretariat of ISO/TC 209 and administers the U.S. TAG to ISO/TC 209’s participation in the ISO 14644 and 14698 cleanroom series.
- What sets IEST apart from other associations is the central leadership role we hold in enabling subject matter expert collaboration, while maintaining the technical rigor and procedural integrity essential to Standards and Recommended Practices development.
