There are some industry professionals who would greatly benefit from IEST membership but are unable to join because of financial barriers or lack of organizational support. Young professionals at the start of their careers or those without employer-sponsored membership often have a strong desire to participate, learn, and contribute—but the cost of membership can be out of reach. As a result, motivated and engaged individuals who want to grow professionally and contribute to our community cannot access the opportunities and connections IEST offers.
The IEST Pay It Forward Program makes it easy for existing members to cover the cost of membership to help those who want to join IEST, but face financial constraints.
How does it work?
Help support IEST Membership through our dedicated IEST Pay It Forward Membership Program. You can choose to help fund membership for one or more individuals in need (in the amount of $210/per membership). The funds from this program will be used to cover the cost of membership fees for a limited number of individuals each year who apply for the IEST Pay It Forward Membership Program. If you know of someone who you think could benefit from the program, and would like to cover the cost of their membership, please mention their name in the notes when you complete your purchase.
Who can apply for the IEST Pay It Forward Membership Program?
- Those who are new to the industry
- Those not currently employed but actively seeking a role in the industry
- Those working in the industry but without company financial support
- Instructor or Staff for applicable field of study at post-secondary school

Through the IEST Pay It Forward Membership Program, we can ensure more individuals benefit from the resources, community, and opportunities IEST provides. It’s a meaningful way to give back, strengthen our community, and extend the value of membership to those who might otherwise be left out.
