IEST publishes standards and Recommended Practices (RPs), sharing up-to-date, reliable technical information in these fields: contamination control; design, test and evaluation; product reliability, and nanotechnology facilities.
The ISO 14644 series provides requirements, specifications, guidelines, or characteristics that can be used consistently to ensure that materials, products, processes, and services are fit for their purpose and safe, reliable, and of good quality. These standards are managed by ISO/TC 209 Working Groups.
IEST Recommended Practices (RPs) provide standardized procedures based upon peer-approved applications of environmental technology. These documents are created by IEST Working Groups.

IEST-RP-CC002: Unidirectional-Flow, Clean-Air Devices RP Spotlight Webinar
November 11, 2026
12 - 12:45 p.m. Central Time
Presenters: R. Vijayakumar (AERFIL) and Kyle Piotrovsky (Technical Safety Services)
This Recommended Practice (RP), IEST-RP-CC002.5, covers definitions, procedures for evaluating performance, and major requirements of unidirectional-flow, clean-air devices. The RP may be used to define a basis of agreement between customer and supplier in the specification, procurement, and certification testing of unidirectional-flow, clean-air devices with self-contained motorblower(s) and powered terminal units with replaceable filter. This document also presents recommendations for recertification of devices owned by the customer, under direction of the customer.
This latest update brings real changes to how you test, certify, and document these devices in the field. During this webinar find out why the document was updated and what changes can affect you.
