How to Perform Product Qualification

Qualifying a product is an essential portion within the development process of a new or existing product.  Qualification is often overlooked by many as an expensive entity that requires the checkmark in the box to complete a Statement of Work.  The importance of qualification is undervalued given its importance.  Engineers who are assigned to perform product qualification typically don’t understand requirements, test standards, testing methodology, and how to clearly and effectively communicate with outside test labs.  If you are expecting a 3rd party test lab to hand you a plan and develop a test plan, you are wrong, the responsibility is on you and the company to provide a test plan/procedure.  This interactive two-day class will cover how to effectively design, test, and implement an effective qualification for your company.  This class will focus heavily on environmental testing with some discussions on EMI.

Prerequisite:  This class follows up the comprehensive introduction to MIL-STD-810.  However, if you have not taken that class, a basic understanding of MIL-STD-810 is required.
