Basics of Dynamics Testing

Dynamics testing  is the application of physical motion on a test object to survive natural dynamics in real world application or determine the strength limits or performance of the test object.  Vibration and shock are the two primary forms of dynamics and are usually tested separately.  This course will examine the forms of dynamics  and how they are imparted to a test object.  Highlights include:

  •  Forms of shock and vibration
  • Fatigue impact and damage to test objects
  • Machine approaches to generating dynamics
  • Controlling dynamic input
  • Dynamic  fixtures
  • Test lab considerations
  • Conducting the dynamic test

This course is designed for beginning and intermediate test and deign engineers and technicians. The course is highly interactive with exercises and applicable “War Stories”
