Cleanroom Basics: What is a Cleanroom and How Does it Work?
This course provides a detailed overview of cleanrooms, applicable to the beginner but also relevant to the more experienced cleanroom professional. Beginning with basic particle behavior, the instructors describe how various types of cleanrooms function, how cleanliness is measured, and the basics of operating a cleanroom – both fabrication and biological. The material is equally relevant to new-construction and retrofit cleanrooms, and provides a general look at how a cleanroom can be used to prevent or correct contamination issues. In addition to the printed material, the instructors will share experiences related to a large number of cleanroom situations, and ample time will be allowed to discuss particular issues of importance to the students.
