This Recommended Practice will provide guidance on shock and vibration test fixture design and implementation. Topics will include material selection, design considerations, fixture evaluations, and best practices. The goal of a properly designed test fixture is to ensure proper energy transfer to the test article in a controlled and repeatable manner.
The first edition of Design and Use of Shock and Vibration Test Fixtures is under development by Working Group 047 of the IEST Design, Test, and Evaluation Division (WG-DTE047).
