We are committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all in-person event participants and staff. In-person attendees, volunteers, and instructors along with IEST staff must abide by all local, state, federal, and U.S. Centers for Disease Control guidelines regarding COVID-19 to protect against the spread of the virus.

To ensure the safest environment possible, IEST is implementing the following safety protocols (subject to change depending on environment at the time of our meetings and potential changes to recommendations by the CDC, local, state, or federal guidelines):

ALL ATTENDEES

  • You may NOT attend an in-person IEST event if you are experiencing any symptoms associated with COVID-19, or if you’ve experienced any symptoms within 10 days prior to the event. Visit the CDC website to view COVID-19 symptoms
  • You may NOT attend in-person if any of the scenarios apply to you as outlined on the CDC's COVID-19 Quarantine and Isolation Guidelines
  • If you can no longer attend due to the CDC's COVID-19 Quarantine and Isolation Guidelines, please contact IEST to have your registration switched to a virtual registration (only available for some trainings/conferences) and the difference will be refunded, or you may request a cancellation and full refund (refunds only offered with proof of a positive COVID-19 test per the CDC guidance).
  • All attendees must regularly and thoroughly wash or sanitize their hands throughout the day and are  encouraged to wear a face mask when six-feet of distance can not be maintained.
  • In-person conference attendees need to self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 and are asked to contact IEST at customerservice@iest.org if they experience symptoms within 10 days after participating in an in-person IEST event.

IEST will continue to assess evolving public health guidelines regarding large gathering settings and will keep all participants updated as we get closer to the event.

To assist with safety protocols:

  • Disposable masks will be available at the registration desk.
  • Disinfecting wipes will be available.
  • Hand sanitizer stations will be positioned throughout the event.
  • IEST will have a touchless thermometer available onsite to check attendees’ daily temperatures if requested or if necessary.

We encourage all participants to review government guidance, as guidelines are frequently updated, to make informed choices about travel and onsite engagement. By attending the event in-person, you understand that refusal to adhere to these policies and abide by these precautions may result in immediate removal from the event and cancellation of your registration without refund.
