Application of ISO 14644-3

This full-day course will explore the practical application of the ISO 14644 series that a certification contractor would use to certify a clean space. The course will include an open forum discussing how to implement the standards, what may or may not work in different types of cleanroom environments, and primary equipment used. In particular, the course will provide an in-depth examination of test methods for characterizing the performance of cleanrooms, as outlined in ISO 14644 Cleanrooms and associated controlled environments—Part 3: Test methods. Performance tests are specified for two types of cleanrooms (unidirectional and non-unidirectional) in three occupancy states (as-built, at-rest, operational). Registration for this course includes a copy of ISO 14644-3. In a group cleanroom evaluation exercise, participants will apply principles learned to an example specification.
