This Recommended Practice (RP), IEST-RP-CC046, will provide guidance for determining resource-effective procedures for controlling contamination to support successful performance of both specific products and associated integrated assemblies. The considerations covered will assist manufacturers in making logical choices of production methods and process parameters, including minimal facility environmental controls. This includes production operations from piece part acquisition through and including delivery of the final product. It is intended to assist the users in establishing the necessary requirements, control features, and verifications that satisfy the business objectives for a product or system.

The first edition of Contamination Control in Controlled Environments is under development by Working Group 046 of the IEST Contamination Control Division (WG-CC046).
