This Recommended Practice (RP), IEST-RP-DTE013, is under revision. The scope has yet to be defined, but it is anticipated that it will cover basic guidelines for the design, fabrication, and use of shock and vibration fixtures. A fixture is defined as an intermediate structure intended to attach test items to a test platform such as a vibration table (shaker) or the table of a shock test machine.

Vibration and Shock Test Fixturing is under development by Working Group 013 of the IEST Design, Test, and Evaluation Division (WG-DTE013).
