Call for Papers Deadline Extended to April 30!

The conference is a major international forum in space hardware environmental testing for research and development and qualification. It provides a unique opportunity for engineers, technicians and scientists from industry, government and academia to present and exchange information and ideas on simulating the space environment to develop and test space mission hardware. The 27th Space Simulation Conference is hosted by the Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology and is co-sponsored by NASA, ASTM, Canadian Space Agency (CSA), AIAA, and Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (JHU/APL).

Papers are solicited in the following subject areas:
  • Environmental Testing for Space Applications - Electromagnetic, Structural Dynamic and Space Simulation
  • New or Refurbished Facilities
  • Novel Testing Requirements and Approaches
  • Environmental Testing in Simulated Lunar and Martian Environments
  • Combined Environmental Testing - Thermal-Dynamic, Thermal-Deployment, Space Debris, and Micrometeoroid Impact
  • Molecular and Particulate Contamination
  • Data Acquisition and Analysis
  • Experimental Heat Transfer and Thermal Coatings for Spacecraft
  • Integration of Commercial Practices into Testing
  • System Tests and End-to-End Demonstrations
Instructions for submitting papers:

1) Selection of papers for publication and presentation will be based on submitted abstracts with a maximum length of 250 words briefly outlining the proposed paper.
2) A cover letter shall provide the paper title; all authors' names and affiliations; and address, phone number, and e-mail address of the contact author.
3) All papers must be unclassified and "ITAR" compliant (employer's approval for release).
4) The abstract should be mailed or e-mailed on or before April 30, 2012, to the Technical Program Chair:
