Qualification and acceptance testing is critical in the satellite business to ensure that highly sensitive components can withstand the thunderous acoustics and jarring vibrations of vehicle launch.
Engineers focus on the thousands of individual parts and subsystems that absolutely must remain intact, connected and fully operational since failure of any one of these parts can jeopardize an entire mission.

LMS delivers a complete solution for the verification of the mechanical design for qualification and acceptance testing on spacecrafts, satellites, launchers and system prototypes. The LMS solution is designed for parallel acquisition and online reduction of vibration channels during random or sine closed-loop vibration control testing, in reverberant rooms, or for high frequency transient capture in deployment testing. Post test data analysis includes correlation and updating of FE models.

In the space industry where performance, reliability and compatibility of digital systems are critical, LMS is seen as the de facto standard for the verification of the mechanical design thanks to the proven capabilities of LMS solutions and technology. LMS references include Thales Alenia, ESA-ESTEC, Intespace, Astrium among many others.

LMS, the leading partner in test and mechatronic simulation, provides a unique combination of testing systems, mechatronic simulation software and engineering services. LMS tunes into mission critical engineering attributes ranging from system dynamics, structural integrity and sound quality to durability, safety and power consumption. With multi-domain and mechatronic simulation solutions, LMS addresses the complex engineering challenges associated with intelligent system design and model-based systems engineering.

Thanks to our technology and over 1,200 dedicated people, LMS has become the partner of choice of more than 5,000 manufacturing companies worldwide. LMS operates in over 30 key locations around the world.
