Frequently Asked Questions

What is the refund policy?
IEST does not accept any returns. All sales are final. See our Policies and Terms of Use for additional information on policies.

What document formats are available?
Most IEST recommended practices and standards are available in print and electronic PDF format. There are a few documents and handbooks available only in CD version. Be sure to check the item description to learn which formats are available.

Purchase of an electronic document is a single-user license to store the file on your personal computer. Under no circumstances may the electronic file be copied, scanned, transferred, or placed on a network of any sort without the authorization of the copyright owner. See the General Terms and License Agreement for full details of copyright statements and electronic document license agreements for IEST Recommended Practices and ISO Standards.

What payment options do I have?
You can purchase publications through the IEST online Bookstore using a credit card. Alternately, you can download a print form to send your order by fax with credit card payment or by mail with check payment. All orders must be prepaid.

Is there a print catalog of items for sale?
Yes, a print catalog is available. Please note: Every effort is made to update the catalog on a frequent basis in order to include the latest available documents and pricing. However, items available and current prices may change, and you are encouraged to review the current listing on the IEST website. Download catalog

My order won’t go through because my credit card keeps getting rejected or declined. Why?
Transactions are generally declined for your security. Be sure the billing address and phone number exactly match your credit card statement and the account number, card type, expiration date and CCV number are entered online exactly as they appear on your card. It is also possible that the purchase exceeds the maximum credit limit for the card. If you still need assistance with a declined or rejected credit card transaction, please contact your bank or credit card company directly. IEST does not receive a reason for the decline.

How can I qualify for a member discount or learn more about membership?
IEST members can receive up to 40% on publications. There are some items that IEST is unable to give membership discounts on, such as ISO 14644 Draft versions, ISO 14698 standards, and some conference proceedings. More on becoming a member or join IEST now.

I’m a member of IEST. Can I purchase my membership discounted publication for someone else?
No. IEST Memberships are on an individual basis. Membership discount is a benefit of membership and can only be used by the individual member. Membership benefits cannot be transferred or used by other individuals, even within the member’s organization. Publications purchased by members at a discounted rate cannot be resold.

How can I download an electronic document I purchased?
